William Willis

Biography

Will is an associate attorney at Frankel, Rubin, Klein, Payne & Pudlowski with the Corporate (linked) and Business Department (linked). Will’s practice focuses broadly on helping businesses of all sizes with ongoing legal support and working with their stakeholders to achieve business-focused outcomes. More specifically, Will’s practice includes drafting and negotiating corporate and related business documents, leases, vendor and supplier contracts, IP licensing agreements, employment and severance agreements, employee handbooks, NDAs, independent contractor and services agreements, minute books, policies and procedures, term sheets, letters of intent, purchase agreements, government contracts, website  terms & conditions and privacy policies, and similar documents; managing and executing M&A deals, offering strategic planning, and more. Will is committed to providing high quality legal work for his clients and enjoys adding levity to the attorney-client relationship, wherever possible.

Will previously worked for the City of St. Louis in the Transactions Department of the City Counselor’s Office, where he provided day-to-day legal support and managed all agreements for directors and boards across about a dozen different City departments and agencies, including the Board of Public Service, the Water Division, the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department, Soulard Market, the Assessor’s Office, the Supply Division, the 22nd Judicial Circuit, and the Medical Examiner’s Office. Will later started a solo law practice committed to assisting local business owners, start-ups, and entrepreneurs with their day-to-day legal needs. Through his firm, his service offerings included guided entity selection, formation, and dissolution, copyright and trademark acquisitions, contract drafting, review, and negotiations, M&A and other transaction management, government/regulatory and corporate compliance audits, part-time general counsel support, pro bono support for St. Louis artists and creatives through Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts, and more.

Will was raised in St. Louis and continues to live in the City of St. Louis with his wife, Jackie, and their three dogs: Jack, Bear, and Sushi. Will enjoys connecting with friends and family, watching St. Louis Blues hockey, learning languages, and serving as the attorney coach for Lutheran High School South’s Mock Trial team.
